Our Philosophy

Skincare wasn’t meant to be mass-produced.

At Small Batch Serums, we believe that how a product is made matters just as much as what’s inside it. In an industry driven by scale, speed, and shelf life, quality is often compromised long before a product reaches your skin.

We exist to do things differently - from sourcing the finest ingredients to producing every serum in small, meticulously tested batches.

Small Batch Serums was created from the work and philosophy of Dr. Paul B. Dean, a dermatologist and formulator with over 35 years of experience in clinical skincare.

Throughout his career, Dr. Dean worked behind the scenes developing formulas used across the industry. He understood every step of the process, from formulation to production, and over time, he began to notice a shift.

Skincare was no longer being created for optimal performance.

It was being created for mass production.

Formulas were designed for longer shelf life.

Products were manufactured in excess.

And what ultimately reached the customer was often far from its freshest, most effective state.

He knew there was a better way.

Small Batch Serums was created to reflect that belief - a return to more intentional production, where quality, freshness, and integrity come first.

Large-scale production may be efficient, but it comes with trade-offs.

By producing skincare in smaller batches, we’re able to maintain:
